Comments
When visitors leave comments on our site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.
- An anonymized string created from your email address (a “hash”) may be provided to the Gravatar service to determine if you use it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/.
- After approval of your comment, your profile picture (if applicable) may be visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the site can download and extract location data from images.
SMS Opt-In Data
When you subscribe to SMS reminders or notifications, we collect your phone number and consent information (such as opt-in date, method, and confirmation).
- Use of Data: SMS notifications may include booking confirmations, event reminders, community updates, and other Harbor Hub communications.
- You may unsubscribe at any time by replying STOP to any message.
Cookies
- If you leave a comment, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies for convenience. These last for one year.
- If you visit our login page, we set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies (discarded when you close your browser).
- Login cookies last for two days, screen options cookies last for a year, and “Remember Me” extends login persistence for two weeks.
- Editing or publishing content may store an additional cookie, which contains no personal data and expires in 1 day.
Embedded Content
Articles or pages may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, or articles). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if the visitor had visited the other site. Those sites may collect data, use cookies, or track your interaction.
Who We Share Your Data With
We do not sell or rent your data. Data may be shared with trusted third-party service providers that help us deliver SMS communications, payment processing, or spam detection.
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
How Long We Retain Your Data
- Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely.
- Registered user accounts store the personal information provided in the user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except usernames).
- Administrators can also see and edit user information.

- Erasure of your personal data (except data we are required to keep for legal, administrative, or security purposes).
